TERMS & CONDITIONS

Our tours/excursions are under the management of Day Tours Egypt, acting only as agent for the passengers and assume no responsibility or liability in connection with accommodation or service or any means of travel, whether by aircraft, motorcar, motorcoach, cruise boat, hot air balloon, or other conveyance which may be used wholly or in part in the operation of tours/excursions, nor will Day Tours Egypt be responsible for or assume liability for injury, damage, death, loss, additional expenses, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned for any reason whatsoever, including defect in any vehicle, or through the acts or defaults of any company or person engaged in conveying the passengers, or providing transportation to the passengers or in carrying out the arrangements of tours/excursions. Baggage, cameras and personal belongings are at the "owner's risk" throughout tours/excursions, unless insured.

ITINERARIES:
Day Tours Egypt reserves the right to make any changes in itineraries or to withdraw any or all tours/excursions where deemed necessary or caused by changes in air schedules or unforeseen country conditions. The right is reserved for Day Tours Egypt to cancel any tour/excursion prior to departure, in which case a full refund will constitute full settlement by the passenger. No refund will be made for any unused portion of the tour/excursion. The cost of our tours/excursions are subject to change due to any increase from airlines, hotels, and/or cruise boats.

FORCE MAJEURE:
Compensation will not be payable if we are forced to charge or cancel tours/excursions in anyway for reasons of war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse or unpredictable weather, high or low water levels or other circumstances amounting to force majeure.

AIRLINES:
The sole responsibility of any airlines used in our tours/excursions are limited to that set out in the passenger contract evidenced by the ticket. Airlines and other carriers are not responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances. Similar responsibilities as noted above applies to all types of carriers. In addition, the services of any IATA or local carriers may be used in connection with the tour/excursion.

TOURS/EXCURSIONS INCLUDE:
Transportation via air conditioned motor vehicles, meals as per itinerary, sightseeing entrance fees as per itinerary, qualified Egyptologist tour guides, internal flights as per itinerary, accommodation as per itinerary, Nile cruise as per itinerary.

TOURS/EXCURSIONS EXCLUDE:
International airfares, Egyptian entry visa, meals not included in itinerary, drinks, optional excursions, accommodation not included in itinerary, optional extras, tips and gratuities, personal items.

MEDICAL:
Day Tours Egypt does not employ medical staff on our tours/excursions. Should medical assistance be required local medical services can be contacted. You are responsible for all medical charges incurred. Day Tours Egypt is not responsible for the quality of medical services you may receive.

SPECIAL ASSISTANCE:
Day Tours Egypt will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the special needs of disabled guests but is not repsonsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, cruise boats, restaurants. It is the responsibility of the traveller to inform Day Tours Egypt at the time of booking of any special needs or requirements.

BOOKING POLICY:
The right is reserved to decline, to accept or retain any passenger as a member of a tour/excursion, in which case a full refund or equitable amount will be refunded, but this amount shall not exceed the amount paid by the passenger(s). No refund can be made for any future or portion of the programme not used by the passenger during the operation of the tour/excursion. The issuance and acceptance of any voucher or ticket shall be deemed to be consent to the above conditions and acceptance of reservations is on the specific condition that the terms and conditions above are agreed to by the passengers.

All information regarding each traveller should be correctly given at the time of booking. When providing names during the booking process please ensure to give your full name as stated on your passport. Name changes may be permitted if requested within 30 days of tour date. All requests for modifications/amendments must be sent by email to info@daytoursegypt.com

BOOKING CONFIRMATION:
Upon receiving confirmation and deposit (if required) of your booking we will send you a Booking Confirmation via email. Please ensure to print this confirmation and present it to our representative at the time of meeting

PAYMENT POLICY:
Day Tours Egypt does not require payment in advance or deposits for most of our tours/excursions. Upon arrival in Egypt a Day Tours Egypt representative will meet you at your hotel, prior to your tour date, to collect payment and issue tickets/vouchers/receipts. In some instances and with prior confirmation from Day Tours Egypt, full payment can be made on the day of the tour/excursion.

For tours/excursions which include internal flights, accommodation or Nile cruise, we require a 25% deposit payable at the time of booking. We accept secure credit card payments via PayPal.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
All cancellations must be made directly to Day Tours Egypt either by telephone or email.

For tours/excursions without flights, accommodation or Nile cruise included:

  • You may cancel your booking at any time up to 2 days prior to tour/excursion date without penalty.
  • Cancellations made on the day of the tour/excursion will incur a fee equal to 50% of the tour/excursion price, per person.
    • For tours/excursions which include flights, accommodation or Nile cruise:

      • You may cancel your booking up to 3 days prior to tour/excursion date without penalty.
      • For cancellations up to 2 days prior to tour/excursion date, 50% of the paid deposit will be refunded.
      • Cancellations made on the day of the tour/excursion, no refund will be given. 
        • GRATUITIES AND TIPS:
          Gratuities and tips are recommended for good service and are at your descretion.

          INSURANCE:
          It is the travellers responsibility to obtain their own travel insurance prior to arrival in Egypt.

          PASSPORT AND ENTRY VISA:
          A valid passport and visa are required for entry into Egypt. Please contact the Egyptian Embassy/Consulate nearest to you for more details concerning visa regulations for your nationality. Many foreign passport holders (including UK, EU, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and USA) are able to obtain a tourist visa upon arrival at Cairo International Airport. Situated at bank/visa booths before immigration a visa stamp can be purchased for approximately $15 USD.
