Siwa Oasis Trip from Cairo 4 Days 3 Nights

Our Cairo Top Tours professional tour leader will meet you at the hotel in Cairo at 06:00 am to begin your amazing Egypt Desert Safari Trips to Siwa. The El Alamein tour starts at the World War II Cemeteries of El Alamein, where we will visit the Commonwealth World War cemetery and recently erected memorials established by the Australian and New Zealand governments. As we walk through the arches and across the gardens, we will see 7,000 white headstones that honor the Australian, New Zealand, and British soldiers who fought and lost their lives. At El Alamein, you will visit the site of the battle and explore the World War Museum.

We will then drive to the beautiful bay of Marsa Matrouh on the North Coast, where you will enjoy a delicious seafood lunch.

Afterward, we continue our journey to Siwa, which is approximately a 6-hour drive from El Alamein. Before heading to the hotel for the night, you will have the opportunity to take a swim in a hot water spring. You will stay overnight in a beautiful Eco-lodge.

After breakfast, you will continue your Siwa Oasis Desert Safari and visit the ruins of the old town of Siwa, known as Shali, which has been partially damaged. You will then be taken to see the Temple of Alexander the Great, also called the Temple of the Oracle, located in the ancient village of Aghurmi, which dates back to the 26th dynasty.

Next, you will visit the Temple of Amun-Ra at Ume Ubaida, which was built in honour of the Amun Triad.

You will also explore the Mountain of the Dead, or Jabal el Mawta, and visit the fascinating tombs of the rulers of the Siwa Oasis during the 26th dynasty. You will then experience the unique Siwan heritage by visiting the Siwa House Museum, where you can learn about the culture of the local Bedouin tribes. Your lunch will be served at the popular Oasis square, overlooking the Shali Fortress, at the Abdo restaurant.

In the afternoon, you will have some time to relax at Cleopatra Spring, or Ein Guba, where you can swim and enjoy the clear, natural waters.

Afterward, you will be transferred to Fitnas Island to enjoy a spectacular sunset view.You will be spending the night in Siwa.Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.

Enjoy an organic breakfast at the eco-lodge. Following this, embark on the Great Sand Sea tour. The first stop is Maraki village, where you will visit a unique archaeological site located at the Great Siwa Mountain. Here, you will see the first ever discovered human footprint. Continue the safari tour through the Siwa Oasis, which lies between the dunes, until you reach the fossil area. There, you will view the rocky fossilized coral reefs that are thousands of years old, dating back to the Cambrian period.

Next, drive to one of the fascinating sites within the Great Sand Sea.

You will arrive at a beautiful lake situated in the middle of the desert. This is an ideal spot to watch flamingo birds. You can also swim in the cold water of the lake, enjoying the peaceful and serene atmosphere of the desert, and relax by bathing in a tranquil environment.

Then, get ready for an exciting sandboarding experience.

While not as fast as snowboarding, with the right wax, you can ride down some of the massive dunes in the Great Sand Sea and experience thrilling moments. After sandboarding, take a refreshing dip in the hot spring known as Bir Wahid. The warm water, at 40 degrees, is renowned for relaxing and soothing your muscles. Enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the Great Sand Sea, while sitting among the dunes, and have some Bedouin tea. Spend the night in Siwa.
