In the morning, you will leave your hotel in Cairo by coach heading to Fayoum, which is approximately an hour's drive away. Upon arrival in Fayoum, you will be taken by a private bus to Wadi El Hitan, where you can witness some of the most fascinating fossils in the world. The valley is situated on the western side of the Nile River within the Fayoum province, located southwest of Cairo. Here you can find a wide variety of fossilized animals, such as crocodiles, hippos, fish, and turtles.
The tour will take you through the desert landscape of Fayoum, passing by the village of Tunis, where you can explore a pottery art school, and enjoy the views of Lake Qaroun before reaching your destination.
You will spend the night camping in Wadi El Hitan with the company of your own guide. A buffet lunch is provided at the campsite, and a buffet breakfast is also included before you depart for Cairo early in the morning.
