Travel to Luxor in one day by flying from Sharm El Sheikh. On the East Bank, you can visit the Valley of the Kings and the Hatshepsut Temple. While Luxor is often called the world's largest open-air museum, this label doesn't capture the true grandeur of this incredible place. The majesty of ancient Thebes is unmatched. Luxor was once the capital of the "New Kingdom Pharaohs" (1570–1090 BC) and is home to the highest concentration of historical archaeological sites in the Nile Valley.

The magnificent Temple of Karnak stands on the East Bank, known as the "City of the Living." The Colossi of Memnon, the Valley of the Kings, and the stunning Queen Hatshepsut funerary temple are located on the West Bank, known as the "City of the Dead." You will be transferred to the airport to board your internal flight to the city of Luxor. Upon arrival, your specialist tour guide will be waiting for you with a signboard and will accompany you through your Luxor day tours. The first visit of the day will be to the magnificent Karnak Temple, which is the most remarkable temple in Thebes, Luxor today. It was built and completed by many kings and rulers of ancient Egypt to symbolize the prominence of this fascinating civilization. Next, you will visit the wonderful Temple of Luxor, which was constructed 3400 years ago during the New Kingdom of ancient Egypt's history.
You will enjoy a delightful lunch at a local restaurant before continuing your west bank tours in Luxor.
Your visit will include the necropolis where the kings of the New Kingdom were buried for almost 500 years, from the 16th to the 11th century B.C. You will also visit the Valley of the Kings, which are carved out of the Theban mountains and are richly decorated with wonderful paintings and filled with treasures that the Pharaohs intended to use in the afterlife. You will have ample time, and if you would like to book an extra ticket to visit the tomb of the famous Pharaoh Tutankhamen, you can simply ask your tour guide for assistance. Finally, you will stop to take pictures of the Colossi of Memnon, the only surviving standing statue from the demolished mortuary temple of Amenhotep III, who was the father of the famous King Akhenaten. You will then be transferred to Luxor Airport for the flight back to Sharm El Sheikh.
