Itinerary for 2-Days Budget Trip from Cairo to Fayoum

Day1- arrive Fayoum

Our tour guide will collect you from your hotel in Cairo in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle early in the morning and take you approximately 95 kilometers to the Fayoum oasis.The ancient Egyptians believed this area to be the center of worship for Sobek, the crocodile god associated with love.There are around 200 large waterwheels spread across the oasis, and your first stop will be The Great Seven Waterwheels, which are a well-known symbol of the region.

Next, you will visit Qaron's Lake, the largest saltwater lake in Egypt and considered the oldest natural lake in the world.

You will have the chance to see a variety of fruits and vegetables grown near the lake, as well as a wide range of migratory birds that come to the area in winter.It's a peaceful spot to relax after a day of sightseeing.You will then enjoy a picnic lunch.

Following the lunch break, you will head to Wadi al-Rayan, which was designated a protected area in 1989.

It's an excellent destination for a day of both adventure and relaxation.There are several lakes in the area where you can swim, jump into, or simply take in the beautiful natural scenery.

Finally, you will be returned to the Fayoum Hotel, where you will spend the night.

Day2- fayoum tour- back cairo

You will visit the "Wadi Hitan" Valley of Whales in the morning after breakfast.This site was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2005 due to the vast number of fossils preserved there, which date back to some of the earliest forms of whales.You will have the opportunity to explore fossils from a time when the area was covered by water, with some dating as far back as 200 million years.The most notable fossils include whale skeletons and bones, as well as those of sea cows.Individual bones and complete skeletons of whales have been discovered as fossils, and several partial skeletons are currently on display in the park's open space.

After completing this tour, you will move a few hundred metres south of Wadi El Rayyan Road to Mudawara Mountain for a visit.

Although it is more of a rock formation than a true mountain, it has a striking, layered appearance and impressive symmetry.Following this, you will be driven to Karanis, a city from the Ptolemaic era that is now in ruins.This city contains numerous Roman, Coptic, and Early Islamic monuments.Finally, you will be returned to your hotel in Cairo.
