The White Desert and El Bahariya Oasis Desert Safari Overnight

Join your expert Egyptologist guide for a White Desert Tour starting from Cairo, which also includes a visit to the Bahariya Oasis. The tour begins from any location as is typical for our Cairo day trips. You will be transported by a modern, air-conditioned vehicle to the Bahariya Oasis, which is approximately four hours away from Cairo.

Next, you will be taken to an Oasis-style restaurant for a delicious Egyptian lunch, offering a unique dining experience.

Following lunch, you will travel to the White Desert for a special White Desert Safari from Cairo. On the way, you will see the Valley of El Haize to the south of the oasis, and if time allows, you may stop to view a water spring there. This area is a green village located in the middle of the desert, leading into the black desert. You will also have a stop at Crystal Mountain to admire quartz crystal formations from an ancient era, and then visit the Valley of Agabat to see its beautiful geological formations and petrified wood. Here, you will have the exciting opportunity to sandboard down the large sand dunes.

You will spend the night camping in the White Desert, where you can enjoy a remarkable sunset view while your local guide prepares your dinner.

During the night, you will have the chance to watch the stars clearly, as there is minimal light pollution in this remote area. In the morning, you will wake up to a breathtaking view of the sun rising over the White Desert.

On the second day of your Cairo excursions, breakfast will be served in the White Desert, allowing you to enjoy the remarkable atmosphere. Following this, you will continue with your Cairo day tours to explore the natural formations of the surrounding desert and springs. You will have the opportunity to capture photographs of the striking white limestone rock formations in the area, including the chicken formation, the rock resembling the Sphinx, the whale-shaped rock, and the hill that looks like a rabbit. Afterward, you will be transported back to Cairo, passing through the Black Desert, which features attractive mountains covered with small black volcanic rocks.

Before returning to Cairo, we will make a stop in Bahariya to visit the salt lake, explore the fruit gardens, and admire the beautiful sand dunes.

The journey back to your Cairo hotel will take approximately four hours.
