5 Days Cairo City Break

Upon reaching Cairo International Airport, you will be received by a representative who will guide you through passport control, baggage handling, and other airport formalities. You will thereafter be driven from the airport to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.

After checking into your hotel, meet your personal tour consultant to go through your Cairo City Break for 5 Days itinerary and discuss the schedule of pick-up times for your sightseeing tours.

Meet your Egyptologist guide following your breakfast, then start your tour with Giza Pyramids. The Giza Pyramids that you will visit include Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus, as well as the Great Sphinx and Valley Temple. Optional camel or horse riding around the Giza Pyramids is possible.

Next you will move on to the Saqqara region to see the unique Step Pyramid of King Djoser, which is one of the earliest stone pyramids constructed in ancient Egypt.

Further move to Memphis, the former capital city of ancient Egypt, to visit the archaeological remains such as the giant statue of Ramses II and the alabaster Sphinx. After your lunch at a local restaurant, move back to your hotel.

Optional Nile Dinner Cruise with dinner and entertainment is possible in the evening.

Start your tour after having breakfast by visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) which houses numerous collections of archaeological pieces from ancient Egypt and gives information on the history, culture, and civilization of ancient Egypt.

Then proceed to Coptic Cairo where you will visit Hanging Church, Abu Serga Church, and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Have lunch at a local restaurant before heading back to the hotel.

Optionally, there is the Giza Pyramids Sound and Light Show in the evening.

Following breakfast, proceed to visit the Citadel of Saladin, which is a medieval castle located above Cairo. The citadel contains the Mohamed Ali Mosque, a beautiful mosque with Ottoman-style architecture.

Lunch will be taken in a local restaurant before heading to Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of Cairo’s oldest markets. Walking around the bazaar and visiting the local cafes to have the traditional mint tea.

Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel and check out. Your representative will transfer you by private air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo International Airport and assist you with the departure procedures for your flight back home.
