Your tour leader will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo, and help you with your flight to Aswan, so the whole thing starts your 2 Day Luxor and Abu Simbel tour from Cairo. When you arrive in Aswan, you’ll meet your professional Egyptologist guide, and then you’ll travel by a private air-conditioned vehicle to Abu Simbel.

Abu Simbel Temples:

Go and explore the magnificent Abu Simbel Temples, considered one of the most striking archaeological places in Nubia and UNESCO World Heritage. They were built during King Ramses II reign, and people love them for those huge rock-cut statues, plus the incredible ancient Egyptian architecture.

Take your time to discover the history and grandeur of this iconic site before enjoying lunch.

After your visit, return to Aswan by private air-conditioned vehicle and enjoy a delicious meal at a local oriental restaurant. Following lunch, proceed to your hotel for check-in and an overnight stay in Aswan.

Meals: Lunch 

After breakfast at your hotel in Aswan, you can take a first-class train to Luxor. Your guide meets you upon arrival, and we continue by air-conditioned private car, starting from the West Bank with the valley of the Kings. This is the royal necropolis, where many pharaohs of the New Kingdom were laid to rest in tombs cut deep into the mountains to keep their treasures safe from thieves. Next is the temple of Hatshepsut, one of the most unusual monuments of Luxor. It was built for Queen Hatshepsut, one of the most successful rulers of ancient Egypt, and its terraces, tall columns and carved reliefs tell the story of her reign. Then we stop at the Colossus of Memnon, two huge stone statues of Amenhotep III that once guarded the entrance to his funerary temple. We have lunch at an oriental restaurant overlooking the Nile, and in the afternoon we cross to the Eastern Bank of the Karnak Temple. Built over many centuries by various Pharaohs, it grew to become one of the largest religious centers of ancient Egypt, with huge halls, tall columns, sharp obelisks and sacred areas for the Theban gods. When the visit is over, we take you to Luxor airport to return to Cairo, and the flight ends there.
