Tour gudie from Day Tours Egypt will pick you up at 5:00 a.m. to embark on a unique day trip from Cairo to the Bahariya Oasis and the White Desert. You’ll travel by air-conditioned car to Al-Bahariya Oasis, which means “the northern oasis,” as it is the northernmost oasis in the Egyptian desert. The trip takes about four hours, including rest stops. You’ll cross the beautiful sandy expanse of the Western Desert southwest of Giza, which is administratively part of the Farfra Oasis.

Upon arrival at Al-Bahariya Oasis—or the Northern Oasis, which is officially part of the city of Giza—you’ll be transferred by a four-wheel-drive Land Cruiser, then we’ll head to the White Desert, known as one of Egypt’s most beautiful protected natural areas, where you can see rare rock carvings, wildlife, caves, plants, ancient tombs, and houses dating back to the Roman era. We’ll stop at one of the most distinctive deserts in the Western Desert: the Black Desert, a dark, rocky region formed by ancient volcanic eruptions and rich in iron ore.

Afterward, we’ll stop at the water spring in Wadi al-Hayz, south of the village of Bawiti in the Bahariya Oasis, to see the famous hot springs there. From there, we’ll take you on an off-road drive to see the quartz crystals in the Crystal Mountains and the magnificent Agabat Valley—which means “Valley of Wonders” in Arabic—where you’ll be able to go sandboarding down the beautiful sand dunes. Enjoy an al fresco lunch and delicious Egyptian cuisine at the Roman Ain Khudra Spring as you approach the White Desert, surrounded by the sound of flowing water.
 

Upon arriving at the White Desert Nature Reserve, you’ll be enchanted by this magnificent landscape filled with limestone and rock formations that have taken on various shapes through natural erosion—resembling mushrooms or trees—as well as a formation that looks like a chicken and a rock that resembles the Sphinx. Before returning to Cairo via Al-Bahariya after your tour of Egypt’s White Desert, you’ll pass through an area dotted with rocks that resemble tents.

Your final stop at the Bahariya Oasis will be for a rest and to use the restrooms. After a busy morning, you’ll enjoy views of palm trees, fruit orchards, and hot springs on the way back to Cairo.
