Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza in the morning and take you to Memphis. We’ll take a walking tour of the open-air museum, where you can see the colossal statue of Ramses II and the alabaster Sphinx. Afterward, we’ll drive to Saqqara and begin with a visit to the Step Pyramid, where your tour guide will tell you about King Djoser and Imhotep, who designed it. Then we’ll visit some nearby tombs, whose walls are adorned with paintings depicting scenes from daily life. When we’re done, we’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we’ll drive to the Grand Egyptian Museum, where your tour guide will take you on a tour of the main galleries and explain the most important exhibits.
