The GEM covers over 93,000 square meters and could take a full day or more to explore properly. Book tickets online in advance to avoid long queues. Architecture & Grand Staircase
Designed by Heneghan Peng Architects, the museum's triangular glass facade is inspired by ancient Egyptian art. The Grand Staircase is itself a museum exhibit, flanked by colossal ancient statues relocated from across Egypt, leading visitors on a visual journey through 3,000 years of civilization before they even reach the main galleries.
