8 Days Cairo and Nile Cruise Tour

Upon reaching the Cairo International Airport, you will be received by a representative from Day Tours in Egypt who will have a sign displaying your name. Thereafter, you will be driven to your hotel in Giza in a private air-conditioned car.

Upon reaching your hotel, you will get a welcome drink as our representative helps you check in. Our tour manager will also brief you about the itinerary of the 8 Days 7 Nights Cairo and Nile Cruise Tour.

Breakfast at your hotel in Cairo and meet your Egyptologist guide in the hotel lobby and start your sightseeing tour.

Your tour will take you to the Giza Plateau where you will see the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, Pyramid of King Chephren, and Pyramid of King Mycerinus.

Then, proceed to the Great Sphinx – the great protector of the Giza Necropolis – and the Valley Temple of King Chephren, which was made out of Aswan granite and used to perform the mummification of the king.

Proceed to the Grand Egyptian Museum, which houses numerous pieces of ancient Egyptian treasures and artifacts, among them is the fabulous collection of treasures of King Tutankhamun.

Also, have a fantastic Coptic Cairo Tour which will include visits to the ancient Roman Fortress of Babylon, the Hanging Church, Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue.

Lunch will be provided at a high-standard restaurant overlooking the Nile.

Next, head to the Islamic Cairo where you will spend some time exploring Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the most famous markets in Cairo, and get some souvenirs that reflect old Cairo.

Then transfer back to your hotel.

Breakfast and check out of your hotel in Giza. Your tour manager will accompany you to Cairo International Airport to board your domestic flight to Aswan.

On arrival at Aswan Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your Nile cruise for embarkation on board the 5-star Steigenberger MS Minerva Nile Cruise.

After check in, enjoy lunch and then have some leisure time to yourself.

Later in the day meet your Egyptologist guide for your sightseeing tour in Luxor’s East Bank including Karnak Temple which is considered one of the greatest temple complexes in ancient Egypt.

Continue to Luxor Temple built for worshipping Theban Triad of Gods Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Enjoy the enchanting ambience of Luxor’s ancient temples and later return to your cruise.

Enjoy dinner on board and spend your first night on board your Nile cruise.

Enjoy breakfast on the cruise ship Nile before starting the Luxor West Bank tour.

Transfer from the cruise ship across the Nile to see the gigantic Colossi of Memnon, two statues of King Amenhotep III.

Proceed for a visit to the famous Valley of the Kings, the burial site of the Pharaohs of the New Kingdom Period. Discover the interesting history behind the tombs and the Pharaohs who were buried there, including King Tutankhamun.

Next, explore the amazing Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, considered to be one of the best temples in Luxor.

Optional: Hot air balloon ride above Luxor.

Return to the cruise ship and enjoy lunch during the sailing towards Edfu. Sit back and enjoy the amazing view of the Nile.

Enjoy dinner on the cruise ship, after which there is entertainment show and music performance.

Overnight stay at the cruise ship Nile in Edfu.

Have breakfast on board Nile cruise and then proceed to the wonderful Temple of Edfu, which is among the best preserved temples in Egypt. The temple was built for Horus, the falcon headed god.

Back to the Nile cruise and sailing towards Kom Ombo.

At Kom Ombo, tour the interesting Kom Ombo temple, built in honor of the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon headed Horus.

Return back to the boat and have lunch as the boat sails towards Aswan.

Aswan is the next stop on the way to Aswan.

Dinner and overnight at Steigenberger MS Minerva Nile Cruise in Aswan.

Breakfast buffet is served on board the Nile cruise prior to your Aswan sightseeing tour, guided by a private Egyptologist guide.

Your first stop will be the magnificent High Dam, which is an outstanding engineering feat and one of the most important modern ventures of Egypt.

Next, make a motorboat trip to Philae Temple, an island temple mainly devoted to goddess Isis.

Proceed to Aswan granite quarries to see the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest known ancient obelisk, offering insights into how ancient Egyptians managed to quarry and haul huge stone monuments.

Complete your Aswan sightseeing tour and return to Nile cruise.

Dinner is served on board the cruise before spending your last night in Aswan while gazing at the Nile.
