9 Days Tour in Cairo and Nile Cruise

On your arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be greeted by one of the representatives of Day Tour Egypt waiting for you with a board bearing your name.

You will then be taken to your hotel in Cairo/Giza via a comfortable, modern, and air-conditioned private vehicle. We will help you check into the hotel and go through your Egypt Christmas and New Year Tours itinerary including your tour pickup timings.

Start your morning with a breakfast in the hotel, followed by a private tour guided by a professional Egyptologist.

Visit the famous Giza Plateau where you can see the famous Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus. Next, go to the Great Sphinx – an incredible statue with the body of a lion and head of a man, and then to the Valley Temple of King Chephren.

Have lunch in a local restaurant with a view of the Pyramids after you finish your Giza tour.

Travel to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), which boasts one of the most amazing collections of ancient Egyptian artifacts housed in the modern architecture.

Further, you will be taken to Giza Railway Station where you will board a sleeper train to Luxor.

Dinner and breakfast will be served on the train during your overnight journey from Cairo to Luxor.

Start with the sightseeing tour of Luxor, starting by visiting the East Bank after lunch on board.

First, visit the impressive Karnak Temple Complex, which is considered to be one of the most amazing religious complexes in ancient Egypt, with pylons, columns, statues, and temples constructed through many years.

Then go for a visit to the wonderful Luxor Temple, which is considered to be an amazing ancient sanctuary, which had many connections with the religion and royalty in ancient Thebes.

Then return to the cruise, relax while admiring the amazing sunset over the Nile.

Breakfast is served on the boat before your excursion to the West Bank of Luxor with your Egyptologist guide.

You visit the Colossi of Memnon, which consist of two large statues that depict Pharaoh Amenhotep III.

Afterwards you will go to the Valley of the Kings, one of the most famous archaeological sites in Egypt, and the resting place of many of the New Kingdom pharaohs. Admire the decorated royal tombs and get insights about the ancient Egyptian concept of life after death.

Your next stop will be the amazing Temple of Queen Hatshepsut in Deir El Bahari, the monumental temple built into the rocks in association with one of ancient Egypt’s most unique queens.

Return to the Nile cruise for lunch while the boat starts its journey to Edfu.

Relax and enjoy the beauty of the Nile Valley landscape during tea time and then have dinner with music, dancing and entertainment onboard.

Start your day with breakfast on the ship before proceeding to see the amazing Temple of Horus located in Edfu.

Visit the well-preserved temple constructed during the Ptolemaic Period that is dedicated to the god Horus in the form of a falcon.

Continue to the ship after visiting and proceed to sail to Kom Ombo.

Once you arrive, you will visit the remarkable Temple of Kom Ombo, which is dedicated to two gods, namely, Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris (Horus the Elder).

Once done exploring the temple, return to the ship for lunch and then proceed to sail towards Aswan.

Dinner will be provided on board, then spend the night in Aswan.

Start off your day with a trip to High Dam which is one of the important engineering structures built in modern Egypt.

Next up would be Philae Temple that is mainly dedicated to the Egyptian goddess Isis. The temple is situated on an island that can only be accessed by boating on the Nile River.

Then proceed to the Unfinished Obelisk that is situated inside the granite quarries of Aswan. Learn more about the work of ancient Egyptians and their use of granite blocks in this monument.

Come back to the Nile cruise for lunch and spend your last evening in your cruise ship.

Have your dinner aboard and then spend your last night of the amazing Nile River Cruise.

Enjoy your breakfast before disembarking from the cruise on the Nile River.

You will have some time to spend at leisure in Aswan town or you can opt for any of the optional sightseeing tours that we have arranged, like the tour to the grand Abu Simbel temples, the Nubian Village tour, or the Felucca boat ride along the Nile.

In the evening, you will be transferred to Aswan railway station from where you will board the sleeper train for Cairo.
